Ashley Wright, 60, was bought the fast food during a transfer from HMP Northumberland to a prison in Lincolnshire.
Outraged staff said the 6ft, 20-stone prisoner was given the meal after he had to be unexpectedly returned to the North East immediately after his arrival, ChronicleLive understands.
