'He could have killed me!' Kerry Katona admits she’s ‘relieved’ that her ex George Kay is dead after ‘putting her through hell’ and says their daughter DJ, 5, can now grow up without having to witness his 'psychotic episodes'
Kerry Katona has admitted she is relieved that her ex George Kay passed away in fears that he could have killed her.
In her first interview since Kay's death from a drug overdose on July 6th at the age of 39, the former Atomic Kitten singer, 38, has expressed that his passing has 'saved' her daughter Dylan-George, 5, from growing up 'witnessing her father's psychotic episodes.'
Speaking to the Sunday People about George - who she was married to from 2014 to 2017 - Kerry said: 'You have to remember the hell he put us through. To be honest it’s almost a relief he died when he did, when DJ is at this age.
'If he hadn't have died, it would’ve been me. My mum says she was just waiting for the call from the police to say he’d killed me.'
Kerry explained that she was never able to fully relax unless he was sent back to jail or if he was dead.
