Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Unit, Gang Unit, Mobile Field Force Unit, Housing Task Force, K-9 Unit, Northwest Patrol Division and US Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 23 people Monday and Tuesday on 57 drug charges, according to a Wilmington Police Department news release. Nine others were arrested for various violations while officers were making arrests. Residents’ complaints prompted the crackdown.
Those arrested and their charges include:
Malik Morant, 21: Sell/deliver schedule 1 controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute heroin.
Demetrius Slaughter, 26: Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute heroin.
Bernard Webb, 34: Sell/deliver heroin; possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance.
Shameka Bannerman, 28: Sell/deliver schedule 4 controlled substance; maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance.
Alton Williams, 42: Sell/deliver schedule 2 controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance, sell/deliver heroin.
Keshawn Bradley, 25: Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance, sell/deliver heroin.
Branson Mickey, 36: Trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance, sell/deliver heroin.
Zane Burton, 50: Sell/deliver heroin (2 counts), maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a park, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance, 4 orders for arrest for failure to appear.
John Williams, 53: Sell/deliver cocaine.
Christ Powell, 35: Sell cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 2 controlled substance, and maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school.
Antonio Gadsden Jr., 34: Sell/deliver cocaine.
Leverne Pelzer, 39: Sell/deliver schedule 2 controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule II controlled substance.
Bobby Fulmore, 33: Sell/ deliver schedule 2 controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and distribute methamphetamine.
Frederick Freeman, 51: Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance.
Rashawn Brooks, 31: Sell heroin (2 counts), possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute heroin (2 counts), maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school (2 counts).
Jonathan White, 26: Sell/deliver schedule 4 controlled substance.
Tyrone Tyson, 47: Sell/deliver schedule 2 controlled substance.
Laurie Whitfield,53: Sell/deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute cocaine, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a park.
Kevin Stevens, 40: Sell heroin (2 counts), possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a park, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school.
Edward Burton, 43: Conspiracy to sell/deliver schedule 1 controlled substances, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance, sell/deliver heroin.
Rodna Robinson, 31: Sell/deliver heroin, Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, distribute schedule 1 controlled substance.
Dwight Walker, 47: Sell heroin, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance within 1000 feet of a park.
William Lane, 60: Sell/deliver heroin (2 counts).

Jamaal Johnson, 24: Warrants for arrest for possession of schedule 4 controlled substance, second degree trespass.
Bobby Fulmore (received additional charges upon arrest from above): Possession of schedule 4 controlled substance. WPD seized 28.5 grams of marijuana.
Winford Dooley, 39: Unrelated warrants for 2 counts of trafficking heroin, possession with intent to sell, distribute cocaine, sell/deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bobby Nichols, Jr., 29: Possession of schedule 4 controlled substance, resisting public officer, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jolie Jordan, 26: Possession of drug paraphernalia, 3 warrants for failure to appear.
Curtis Marshall, 33: Parole violation.
Veshon Shaw, 24: Unrelated warrant for assault on a female.
Walida Price, 37: Warrant for failure to appear, warrant for exploiting the elderly.
