For the second time in eight months, a Charlotte resident was arrested in Rowan County after a high-speed chase down Interstate 85.

On Monday, July 2, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office working traffic enforcement on northbound Interstate 85 attempted to stop a 2008 BMW with a fraudulent South Carolina temporary tag, resulting in a chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies. After diverting off I-85, the vehicle proceeded to North Long Street in East Spencer and eventually struck a mailbox after careening through a yard at Robinson Road, law enforcement said.

After striking the mailbox, the driver exited the vehicle with a handgun and ran across Long Street toward the Norfolk Southern Railway tracks, according to a report. Deputies detained the front seat passenger.

Law enforcement personnel from the N.C. State Highway Patrol, Spencer Police Department, Salisbury Police Department and East Spencer Police Department assisted in the chase and search for the armed driver.

After over an hour looking for the suspect, he was eventually arrested by a deputy between the railroad tracks and Lexington Avenue in Spencer, law enforcement said. The driver was identified as Jadarius Marticee McCullough, 22, who claimed to be a student at Guilford Tech in Greensboro. During the pursuit of the vehicle, deputies recovered a small quantity of marijuana that had been thrown from the vehicle. The gun was not recovered, law enforcement said.

McCullough was wanted for a probation violation, which resulted from an Oct. 12, 2017, incident on southbound I-85 in Rowan County where McCullough was stopped by the sheriff’s office for a speeding violation and driving a stolen Dodge Charger with a fraudulent South Carolina temporary tag.

McCullough was charged with felony fleeing to elude; carrying a concealed weapon; reckless driving; resisting, obstructing and delaying a public officer; and speeding while attempting to elude. Bond was set at $10,000.

:lol It's a fine day when a nigger loses a BMW, a bag of weed, a handgun, AND its freedom in a single encounter.

And his last car was a stolen Dodge Charger. Groids love those Chargers, Challengers and Chrysler 300's.
