Josh Jones wrote a widely shared Facebook post about the experience of his brother, DeAndre Adams, who he said works for the Obion County Highway Department.
he recently came across a document that had been put away in a filing cabinet to which he and a few other people had access.
The document, apparently downloaded from the internet, was labeled at the top as "Racist Jokes" and characterized itself as an "owners manual" for African-Americans, using a racial epithet instead of African-Americans.
The document uses the racial slur dozens of times and purports to be an owner's manual for someone who has just bought a slave. It paints African-Americans as subhuman "apemen" who can barely speak, and uses a wide range of racist tropes, including that they like to eat watermelons and rape white women.
The document also calls for killing black people through hanging.
