PORTSMOUTH — A woman from New York City was charged with attempted murder Friday after she stabbed a housekeeper at the Sheraton Hotel multiple times with a pair of scissors.
Jasmine Henderson, 32, of the Bronx, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, criminal threatening and second-degree assault. All of the charges are felony-level offenses.
Police were called to the hotel on Market Street around 9 a.m. When responding officers arrived at the scene they found Henderson in the lobby and she was arrested.
Henderson’s alleged victim, a 58-year-old housekeeper, was stabbed in the face, neck and chest area before she was able to flee. The woman was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment.
