Asslifter ran down 5, gets sentence reduced because it was Ramadan and he was fasting

Luqman Aslam, 26, was involved in an altercation with the men before deliberately ploughing into them in a busy city centre.

Shocking footage of the dramatic incident shows several victims being hit by his van, with two ending up on the bonnet.


But the father-of-one had his jail term cut to four years at London's Appeal Court on Friday.

Judge Jeremy Carey claimed that Aslam had "used the car as a weapon."


However, he noted that there was "substantial mitigation" and that the driver had not received sufficient credit for his guilty pleas.

It was also claimed that Aslam was a "quiet" family man and had been fasting for 20 days at the time of the incident.

I did a stint in the middle east. The ones they allowed on base would get up real early in the morning and eat a massive meal and drink a ton of water. Then at the end of the day would do the same thing. There were times that they would eat more often in a day then some of us would during this asslifter "holy" period. One time I was there the base commander even said we could not drink water out in public... I was like uh, fuck you asshole. I'm outside and it's 120 out here. Fuck these sand niggers feelings.
